Chp. Tom Michaels Zahradnik – Chief Executive Officer
Tom has been in broadcasting for 28 years and has done pretty much everything in radio and television, both in front of the microphone and camera, as well as behind the scenes. He greatest love is the radio.
Tom’s most profound moment was on February 19th, 1982. After a suicide attempt from depression, he was admitted to New York Psychiatric Hospital in White Plains, NY. It was there in his room he encountered the living person of Jesus Christ. Tom was moved by Christ to repent of his sins and surrender his life to Him. He did and his life has never been the same. It is amazing grace!
Tom’s life calling can be defined as an encourager and communicator.
He is an inspirational and motivational speaker to churches, businesses, and organizations with a flare for humor incorporated into all he does. Tom has served in most areas of ministry in churches including as an associate pastor. His passion however lies outside the walls of the traditional church in the marketplace arenas of entertainment, government, and corporate America.
Tom hosts “The Sunday Brunch” and the daily “Prayer minute” on the Sound of Life. He also hosts the monthly Sound of Life “Heart 2 Heart” podcast.
Tom is an ordained minister and endorsed chaplain with The General Council of The Assemblies of God. He holds a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Theology, and an Associates of Science Degree in Communications and Media Arts. He is a graduate of the Centurions Program through the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. Tom serves on the Board of Trustees for Valley Forge Christian College in Phoenixville, PA, the Board of Directors for the Walter Hoving Home, Garrison, NY, and as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for Care Net Pregnancy Center of the Hudson Valley, Poughkeepise, NY. He also is a member of the National Religious Broadcasters International Committee.
Tom is married to his best friend and the love of his life of 26 years, Cathleen. Cathleen is a licensed minister with The General Council of The Assemblies of God. In 2010 they founded Rubicon Ministries to help people live God-centered lives founded on Biblical truth and they host the monthly Cross Your Rubicon podcast.
Tom and Cathleen have three children, Jonathan (24), Alyssa (23), and Christy (18). They live in Poughkeepsie, NY. They love their church, Faith Assembly and their Pastor, Ed Jones (not the financial guy!).
Tom is a HUGE Pittsburgh Steelers fan! He enjoys aviation (wants to get his pilots license some day), cooking, football, but mostly sitting quietly watching a movie with Cathleen.
