A walk to benefit the Autism Society of the Hudson Valley. Walk for affordable,decent home ownership in the City of Newburgh. The walk is a little over 3 miles-passing over 20 homes built by Habitat ending with a dedication of the Faith Row Build. Registration begins at 1pm – Walkers depart at 2. More info at Habitatnewburgh.org
This Zumbatomic Party will be crazy-cool dance fitness workout for kids ages 4-12, like Hip-Hop, Salsa, Reggaeton and more. Space is limited and kids will receive a free photo of their best move. The Fire House Church is working to hold a benefit for Elisha Randle to help with the burden the Randle’s incurred due to a tragic auto accident in which Elisha was seriously injured with a broken neck which left her initially paralyzed.
There will be food, drinks, music, raffles, and catching up with old friends. It is $20 per plate for adults, (children are free). If you need help finding it or have questions call the Fire House Church at 845-232-0463.
All donations will go to help Elisha and her family make it through a very challenging time. If you cannot make it to the Benefit, feel free to visit the website, which has been set up to donate. The youth from Emmanuel Church/Iglesia Emanuel (a bilingual church) will venture out on a missions trip to Honduras this summer to visit an orphanage. They’ll be collecting specific items every Sunday through May 5th between 4-6pm. Please help collect the following items; Dry bags of rice, 1 gallon Ziploc bags, tooth brush/paste, powder baby formula, coloring books/crayons, neosporin, cake mixes, dry beans, individual fruit snacks, canned meat/tuna, band-aids, hard candy, deodorant, soap bars, back packs and gently used children and infant’s clothing and shoes *summer attire please*.
