In this class, learn how to carve, wood burn, and finish your cardinal to perfection. Starting with a pre-cut block, you will learn how to shape and detail the bird, sand and prep it for finishing, then paint to complete the project. A great class for beginner and seasoned woodcarvers alike!

2013 CMA Run For The Son Rally

The Christian Motorcyclists Association’s “Run For The Son Rally” invites everyone to join in the 100 mile ride, ending at King Street Park in Port Jervis. Rides will begin from multiple starting points, and the goal is to arrive at King Street Park by 12:30 pm to be ready for universal prayer at 1 pm.

All CMA’rs around the world will be stopping at exactly the same time to pray for each other, our region, our state, our country and our leaders. After prayer, we there will be live music by the Blackberry Blues Band and a free BBQ lunch. A suggested of $10 will go towards Run For The Son.

Over the past twenty-five years, the CMA through Run for the Son, has been able to reach millions of people throughout the world by its fruits. Run for the Son has enabled CMA to equip the saints here in the United States and all over the world to reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Tag and Garden Sale

The Poughquag Methodist Church is holding a Tag and Garden sale. 13th Annual Women’s Health & Fitness Expo

Sharon Classic Road Race

5-Mile race in Sharon, CT. The SCRR is the primary fund raiser for the Sharon Day Care. Iron Sharpens Iron (Men’s Conference)

Keynote speakers are Gene Getz is host teacher of Renewal Radio, and also serves as a pastor, professor and author of more than fifty books including the best-selling ‘The Measure of a Man’. He has been a church-planting pastor in the Dallas Metroplex since 1972 and still serves as an adjunct professor at Dallas Theological Seminary. As well as Steve Demme. As of May, 2013, Steve and his wife Sandra will have been married for 34 years. They have been blessed with four sons: Isaac, Ethan, Joseph, and John. Steve is also the author and founder of Math-U-See. He has served in full or part time pastoral ministry for many years after graduating from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and has served on the boards of Joni and Friends, Christian Freedom International, Lifework Forum, and Peace in the Home. Steve’s desire is to strengthen, teach, encourage, validate, and exhort families to glorify God in their relationships. He is committed to seeing life transformation in the lives of men as husbands and fathers.

Learn how to steam bend local Adirondack Red Oak into the graceful forms of this one-of-a-kind chair that is both beautiful and comfortable. Working with a variety of hand tools, you will bend and fasten the slats, laminate frame elements, join everything together, and sand, finish, and complete a beautiful chair ready for a prominent spot in your camp or home. Some prior woodworking experience is helpful, but beginners are welcome too.
