Our community will take part in a 40 Days For Life. A ground breaking, coordinated international pro-life mobilization with a vision to access God’s power through prayer, fasting & peaceful vigil to end abortion. The vigil will be 24 hours a day seven days per week at 137 Warren Street, Glens Falls, NY (right next door to an abortion clinic).
THE MISSION of this campaign is to bring together the body of Christ is a spirit of unity during a focused 40 day campaign of prayer, fasting, and peaceful activism with the purpose of repentance, to seek God’s favor to run hearts and minds from a culture of death to culture of life, thus bring and end to abortion. Registrations are now open for Upward Sports Basketball league kindergarten through 6th grade. It is run by 12th Rock Ministries of Middletown, NY. Help local families with providing pet food during the holidays
Drive Alive is a Christmas toy drive for the Pregnancy Support Center of Ulster County. The PSCUC will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for ages newborn through 5 through December 16th. All toys may be brought to either center located at 484 Broadway Kingston or 246 Main Street, Suite 9, New Paltz. We are also in desperate need for coats and boots for sizes newborn through 5T. Diapers, Wipes, baby wash and other baby items always needed.
All women are invited to attend a luncheon Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 12:00-2:00 PM at Longfellows Restaurant, Rt. 9P Saratoga. Cost is $13.00 inclusive. Featuring the annual craft fair offering homemade crafts, baked goods, Christmas items and white elephants. The topic of our speaker, Ann Sudduth of Watertown, will be HIS Eye Is On The Sparrow. Karate for Christ begins September 17, every Tuesday and Saturday from 6-8pm when school is in session through May 31, 2014. The class is FREE, but donations are appreciated. Learn the world of martial arts with the guidance of Championship Black Belt instructors, who will teach the fundamentals of Boxing, Kickboxing, Sport Karate and Self-Defense awareness. Each class begins and ends with prayer and uses the teachings of the Bible for mental strength.
Ladies Fit for Christ begins September 17, and runs every Tuesday and Saturday from 6-7:30pm when school is in session through May 31, 2014. The class is FREE for Women of all Ages, using a variety of aerobic activity set to Christian music. The exercise will be modified to meet individual needs and physical capability. Bring sneakers, water bottle, hand towel, exercise mat, and hand weights if wanted, to New Beginnings, 35 DeGarmo Road in the town of Poughkeepsie.
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at 72 Spring St., Kingston is offering a Taize’(tay-zay) candlelight service of music, prayer, scripture, and meditation at 7:30 pm. on the second Thursday each month, beginning in September. The church is elevator accessible and these services are available to the public.
