A traditional meal of soup and salad starts at 6pm followed by a “special” service at 7pm where we remember Jesus’ journey to the cross. Communion served at tables of 12.

Bethel Community Church is opening a preschool class in Port Jervis, NY. With a faith-based curriculum and a constructive approach, your 3 to 5 year-old child will be prepared both spiritually and academically for the school challenges. 53rd Annual White Breakfast
On Thursday, April 17, 2014, (Maundy Thursday), the 53rd Annual White Breakfast will be held at Fair Street Reformed Church, 209 Fair Street, Kingston, NY at 9:30 a.m. The word “white” refers to the traditional liturgical color which associated Christ as the light of the world and a reminder of the purity of His life which was sanctified on behalf of mankind. A continental breakfast is served; followed by a service of dedication in the Sanctuary. All women from the area are invited. Reservations for attending the White Breakfast may be made by calling the church office at 338-7722. Child care is provided.
Northeast Parent & Child Society a non-for-profit agency is holding a 10 week foster parent mutal selection certification process. These classes are weekly and are provided for persons living in Columbia & Greene Counties interested learning all about fostering with the goal of becoming a certified foster parent. Anyone wishing to participate or needing more information should contact Mickey Kayser, Recruiter at 518-470-7482. Classes will be held at our 455 Main St, Catskill office. Holy Thursday Lenten Worship Service
God’s Soldiers Motorcycle Ministry will be holding a special Hearts of Steel service with Holy Communion geared towards Bikers, Truck Drivers, Construction Workers, and anyone who may be a little rough around the edges.
The Word will be preached by Brother Tim, an Ordained Minister and former bodyguard to Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent, Diddy, Jeremy Camp, Jesse Duplantis, and many others. Brother Tim is also the author of the powerful book “Nomad: Darkness into Light” and was featured on TBN’s international television program Praise the Lord.

Skidmore College Department of Theater presents IF ALL THE SKY WERE PAPER by Andrew Carroll, directed by Lary Opitz. In every American war from the Revolutionary War to Iraq and Afghanistan, people have captured the horror, pathos and intensity of warfare in their letters. Tens of thousands of these letters have been handed down from generation to generation. Best-selling author Andrew Carroll established the Legacy Project through which he has collected thousands of war letters. He created this piece of verbatim theater based upon many of these letters. IF ALL THE SKY WERE PAPER tells the story of war from the viewpoint of the men and women on the front lines, affected civilians, and loved ones on the home front.
Performances are in the mainstage of the Janet Kinghorn Bernhard Theater, April 10-13 and April 17-19. Performances are at 8:00PM, except for Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00PM.
