We are offering a Biblical grief recovery class for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one and adjusting to a “new normal.” Call Faith Assembly for more information and to register: 845.462.5955. Classes will meet for 8 weeks at our Boardman Road building.
GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone.
GriefShare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.
Exercise for a Cause & Zumba for Food. In the month of December the New Paltz Elks Lodge is sponsoring a series of exercise classes and a food drive Participate in aerobics, strength training, step aerobics and Zumba classes – and all it will cost you is a donation of non-perishable food items that will go to our neighbors in need and local food pantries. Improve your health and improve life for others at the same time.
Susan Loxley-Friedle will lead the Aerobics & Step classes & Amanda Gresens take you through the Zumba dance party. All the workouts are good for your heart & in more ways than just getting it pumping!

Every Monday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. there will be a free math tutoring session at the Platekill Reformed Church. All grade levels through graduate school are eligible to attend.
The show features a special animatronic snowman as the host with some surprises! The display is approximately 15 minutes and includes nearly 100,000 lights using over four miles of wire! The event invites viewers to drop donations for The Brian Ahearn Children’s Fund at the display through a custom “magic mailbox” that adds some fun with your donation. The show will run nightly December 1st through January 5th from 6pm to 10:30pm. The Castle is happy to offer this as a free event to the public.
Mommy and Me will meet in 4 week sessions at Trinity Preschool in Walden from October thru June and is a special time for Mom (or a loving adult) and 2-3 year olds. There will be an hour and a half of music, play, finger puppets, play equipment to climb on, and more. The cost per session is $40. Trinity Preschool is a Nut Free School.
Drive Alive is a Christmas toy drive for the Pregnancy Support Center of Ulster County. The PSCUC will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for ages newborn through 5 through December 16th. All toys may be brought to either center located at 484 Broadway Kingston or 246 Main Street, Suite 9, New Paltz. We are also in desperate need for coats and boots for sizes newborn through 5T. Diapers, Wipes, baby wash and other baby items always needed.

AWANA club, for age 3 to grade 12 is in full swing for the 2013-14 school year! FRIDAYS, 7-9 pm, following the Highland School District Calendar. AWANA is a Bible based club with scripture memorization, game time, snack, and more. All kids are welcome ! Fellowship Baptist Church, 660 New Paltz Road, Highland, NY.
