Stockholm United Methodist Church invites all (young and old alike) to join us for our “Family Fun Nights” being held every Wednesday night in August (6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th). The Family Fun Nights are open to everyone in the community who wants to have fun, snacks and good wholesome fellowship.
The Family Fun Nights will include the following:
August 6th: Movie night with popcorn, drinks and good fellowship
August 13th: Olympic night (games galore) and Ice Cream social
August 20th: Science and Astronomy night with experiments & stargazing
August 27th: Campfire night with songs, hot dogs, marshmallows and more
Learn what the Bible really says about Marriage Covenant. This is a free event and is once per month. For those who take 6 classes they receive a certificate and can minister on the National Call. You must call to register as seats fill up fast. There is no cost -but a love gift if you feel lead to help with our costs. We have been experiencing testimonies of restored marriages after even years apart.

RETURNING TO QUEENSBURY
Housed in a fleet of well equipped “offices on wheels” Disabled American Veterans Mobile Service Offices (MSOs) travel to smaller towns and rural communities across the country to counsel and assist veterans to educate veterans and their families on the benefits and services available to them in thanks for their service.
DAV National Service Officer (NSO) William Gibney will bring the MSO to Queensbury on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6196, 32 Luzerne Road, Queensbury.
Aided by DAV Chapter 158 members, NSO Gibney will be providing support to veterans developing, filing and winning claims for benefits administered under federal, state and local laws. He will also counsel and assist with the development of evidence, completion of required applications and prosecution of claims, bringing benefit and services education to veterans and their families where they live.

Connection 2014 is a mission trip to Orange County, with the objective to bring the grace, mercy and love of Jesus to the people of this area during the week of Aug 25-30. There will be senior citizen and homeless outreaches, street evangelism and a VBS program for children aged 3-11 at Calvary Chapel Orange County. The week will be capped off with a carnival at the church on Saturday Aug 31.
The theme is “International Spy Academy” -a fun filled time with games, crafts ,Bible lessons and snacks. Ages 3-12. All are welcome.
Kids and Youth (ages 4-12th grade) are getting ready to hone and improve their soccer skills over the course of three action packed days. With morning sessions for the younger groups and afternoon sessions for the older groups, you don’t want to miss out on this great time.
