DISCOVERING CHRIST is a 7 week series that invites you to explore the purpose of life and experience a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The evening begins with sharing dinner in small groups then moves to viewing and discussing the week’s presentation. All weekly sessions and dinner are free. A one day retreat is scheduled for Saturday, October 25th.

Contempory and traditional Christian pianist Jim Hendricks concert

Jim Hendricks is a famous pianist who has performed more than 1200 concerts in churches all over the country. Profits from the concert will go to the Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Food Pantry. Prices are $ 10.00 for 13 and older and $5.00 for ages 6 to 12 and can be purchased at the door.

Foster Care Informational Meeting

Want to become a foster parent?  An informational meeting regarding becoming a foster parent will be held at Gospel Community Church in Coxsackie.  The class is conducted through Parsons Child & Family Center, Albany, NY.  It’s a 7 week course (one day a week) and the class day will be determined based on those attending the informational meeting.  This class is free and open to all who want to learn the requirements for becoming a foster parent in New York State.
