Northeast Parent & Child Society a non-for-profit agency is holding a 10 week foster parent mutal selection certification process. These classes are weekly and are provided for persons living in Columbia & Greene Counties interested learning all about fostering with the goal of becoming a certified foster parent. Anyone wishing to participate or needing more information should contact Mickey Kayser, Recruiter at 518-470-7482. Classes will be held at our 455 Main St, Catskill office. Refreshments are providced. An RSVP is required if you are going to attend.

Come to the 2nd Annual Adirondack Fiber Experience event. Scheduled from Thursday night, April 24, 2014 through Sunday morning, April 27, 2014, this year we’ve grown so much we have two Fiber Experience sites: the Adirondack Folk School and the Fort William Henry Hotel & Conference Center in Lake George. Knit and spin with Donna Kay, a master fiber artist from New Hampshire, do felting work with renowned local artist Robin Blakney-Carlson and Carol Ingram, a felter from Connecticut, weave with our rising star, Tegan Frisino, and so much more…We have wonderful, fun-filled evenings planned throughout the event.

Girls Ministries and Royal Rangers from Crossroads Assembly of God will resume Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 7pm. Ages Pre-K (3-4) to High School. These ministries are held every Wednesday from 7pm-8:30pm, September to June. For more information, please call church office, 845-561-1030.

Ladies Fit for Christ begins September 17, and runs every Tuesday and Saturday from 6-7:30pm when school is in session through May 31, 2014. The class is FREE for Women of all Ages, using a variety of aerobic activity set to Christian music. The exercise will be modified to meet individual needs and physical capability. Bring sneakers, water bottle, hand towel, exercise mat, and hand weights if wanted, to New Beginnings, 35 DeGarmo Road in the town of Poughkeepsie.
Karate for Christ begins September 17, every Tuesday and Saturday from 6-8pm when school is in session through May 31, 2014. The class is FREE, but donations are appreciated. Learn the world of martial arts with the guidance of Championship Black Belt instructors, who will teach the fundamentals of Boxing, Kickboxing, Sport Karate and Self-Defense awareness. Each class begins and ends with prayer and uses the teachings of the Bible for mental strength.
