The Reservoir United Methodist Church will be selling pumpkins in all shapes and sizes from Saturday, September 26th thru Saturday, October 31st. Pumpkins are priced by size and are as low as $.50. While supplies last they will have munchkins, spookies, weebies, and gourds which are great for classroom activities. Pumpkin Patch Hours are: Mon-Tues. 2-6pm, Wed-Fri . 12-6pm, Sat. & Sun. 10-6pm. Free family friendly evening of music, food and fellowship!! Open mic!!
On Saturday September 24th, Emmanuel House International (EHI) will host its 3rd Annual “Families Shine” Walk-a-Thon at Putnam County Veterans Memorial Park from 12 noon to 4pm. This event helps raise money to keep EHI doors open and provide free services and resources to hundreds of low-income Moms and Moms-to-Be so they can care for their Families. EHI provides diapers, formula, clothing, and a lot of other items a Mom or Mom-to-Be needs to be able to provide for her new born babies and children.
Our 4th annual tricky tray will be held on Saturday, September 24th in the Delaware Valley Middle School Gym, 252 Rts 6 & 209, Milford, PA 18337 (next to Wal-Mart). Doors open at 11:30am and RAPID calling to start at 2:00. Over 200 prizes!
Effective Communication Strategies: A free educational program by the Alzheimer’s Association about how communication takes place when someone has dementia. Learn to decode verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at every stage of the disease. Day when all children of the community will be blessed for free. Lunch will be provided for all.
Soccer program for children ages 4 – 14. Meets Saturdays from 10:00 AM to Noon, beginning September 10. Kids learn playing skills and sportsmanship in a Christian atmosphere. Cost: $40.
