You will be allowed to claim one (1) ticket for each person listed on your reservation. This class will take the student through basic design considerations from warping, weaving and finishing a relatively fine tencel scarf or shawl. Students will be provided with their choice of color in 5/2 tencel (18-24 epi) and encouraged to experiment with color play in plainweave or simple twill structures. Friday will be designing and warping, Saturday is weaving and Sunday will be final finishing with a group show and tell, as well as a projection for the next weaving project. Basic weaving skills will be addressed throughout. Students will contribute to a pool of weaving resources (print, online and local) and should finish with confidence in their ability to move towards their next weaving goal.
