The purpose of II Timothy 2:15 School of Biblical Studies is to offer to the body of Christ a quality education at an affordable price. II Timothy 2:15 is for every Christian that is interested in being “CHRIST LIKE”. Registration will be held beginning Aug. 6th and end on August 25th. Either at church on Sunday morning from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, on line at www.john316cc.org/bibleschool.html or by appointment by calling church office at (845) 677-0625 and speaking with Rev. Michael Doreo.

Classes begin on Aug. 28th and are held on Mondays at 6:00 and 7:15 PM. Online classes are also available and begin on Sept. 5th.

II Timothy 2:15 is a part of John 3:16 Christian Center “A LIFE CHANGING CHURCH” located at 3112 Route 82, Verbank, NY 12585. II Timothy 2:15 is also fully accredited through Transworld Accrediting Commission International and course credits may be transferable for college certification.

The Capital Region’s hometown fair celebrates its 125th year with a jam-packed schedule of agriculture events, live entertainment, exhibits, contests and midway rides ranging from whimsical kiddie rides to state-of-the-art thrill rides.

Enjoy racing pigs, Circus Hollywood, livestock shows, live music, tiger shows, a petting zoo, horse and pony shows, agricultural demonstrations, hypnotism shows, World of Wonders old-time sideshow acts, Houdini-style Escape Explosion Show, a baby animal exhibit, Dynamo Dogs show, Blue Ribbon Cooking Center activities, lumberjack show, exotic reptile presentations, chainsaw carving demonstrations and a vast variety of favorite fair food.

Pay-one-price admission (includes parking, entertainment and unlimited rides) is $15 Tuesday and Wednesday and $17 Thursday – Sunday. Children under 36 inches tall are admitted free, rides excluded. Kid Zones are available around the fairgrounds for young children who do not meet the minimum height requirements for midway rides.

On Wednesday, seniors ages 65 and older, active members of the Armed Forces, veterans and Grange members are admitted free with ID until 4 pm, rides included.

Fair gates open at 10 am daily at 129 Grand Street in Altamont. Exhibits and vendors open at 11 am. The midway opens at noon and closes at 11 pm Tuesday – Saturday and 10 pm on Sunday.

Join us for Revival Meetings at the Dover First Baptist Church in Wingdale, NY. Located at 6483 Route 55. Our Speaker is Missionary Jeff Bassett. 

Jeff and Carla Bassett served as missionaries in Africa for many years. For nineteen years Jeff and Carla served in Ivory Coast, starting churches, training nationals. In February 2006 God led the Bassett’s to the regions beyond to Kampala, Uganda in East Africa starting churches.

Jeff has a heart for souls and a deep commitment to reaching the lost. We believe his experience and messages will be a challenge to us all. The public is invited to hear Jeff Bassett in person at the Dover First Baptist Church in Wingdale, NY from August 13th – 16th at 7 PM. The Church will provide a children’s ministry during the message and refreshments will be served afterwards. All evening services begin at 7 PM. Invite family and friends to join us.

Sunday night our door prize is a special DVD and Wednesday night our packed Linen’s basket. Prizes for Monday are a $25 gift certificate for Home Depot and $50 on Tuesday for dinner at McGrath’s in Pawling.
