Every 3 seconds a child under the age of 5 dies from a preventable cause. That is 9 million innocent children a year. You can be a part of changing that!! This summer, Main Street Baptist Church joining with Compassion International Inc. for the 2nd Annual Tanzania Child Survival Bike-a-thon. This family friendly event, taking place in West Oneonta, NY will be raising funds to support a Child Survival Program based in Mbulu, Tanzania which is currently serving 35 mothers, 19 whom are pregnant and 16 children. This vital program is changing lives and the community by enabling mothers, children and families to escape the traps set by poverty and live strong, healthy, Christ-centered lives. Come join us Saturday, August 24th, 2013 and spend a fun-filled day biking one of the 3 available routes through the beautiful Otego Creek Valley!
