CROP stands for Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty. The New Paltz CROP Hunger Walk is a community fund-raising event sponsored by Church World Service (CWS), an international relief, development, and refugee resettlement agency. Money raised by the New Paltz CROP Hunger Walk is used by CWS to provide food, medical care, disaster relief, and self-help development for needy people locally and throughout the world. This is our 40th year and we will have live music, a silent auction, t-shirts for walkers, donated coupons from various local businesses and great fellowship. Call Cherie Montesano if interested in being involved/volunteering, walking, donating (either money or items for our silent auction) or for any questions.
