Family Promise of the Mid-Hudson Valley will be hosting its Fourth Annual Strike Out Homlessness Bowl-a-thon Fundraiser on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 1-4pm at Pat Tarsio Lanes, 173 South Plank Road (Route 52), in Newburgh, NY 12550 to help raise money and awareness of homeless children and their families in our community.
Tickets at $20 allow individual bowlers to receive unlimited bowling for three hours, bowling shoe rental, and an ice cream sundae. Non-bowlers can be Spectators at $10, which includes the ice cream sundae and five Tricky Tray tickets. Consider becoming a lane sponsor receiving bowling, signage at the event, listing on the Family Promise website and advertising acknowledgement. Family Promise of the Mid-Hudson Valley is a local, non-profit organization committed to ending homelessness for families in need in Ulster, Dutchess and Orange counties. Family Promise provides temporary shelter, meals, and comprehensive assistance for homeless children and their families. Family Promise is a collaborative effort that involves over 30 local congregations as well as local community agencies and county social service agencies.
The main goal of Family Promise is to provide shelter, meals, and case management for homeless families, as well as to help find permanent housing, so the families can become fully and permanently self- sufficient. The organization also works to foster collaboration in the community while promoting advocacy for those in need.
