A Christian Seder will be held in the Fellowship Hall at Overlook United Methodist Church. Experience the relationship of the Jewish Passover Seder to Jesus’ interpretation of the meal, and its symbolic relevance to both traditions. The items on the Seder plate form the foundation from which the menu of the covered dish supper is created: Lamb (or chicken) dishes, green vegetable or potato dishes, dishes with apples and nuts, egg dishes (devilled eggs, omelets, etc), salads of romaine lettuce or a horseradish dip. The bread for the meal is unleavened, usually Matzah bread is used. Thus, Matzah ball soup is also acceptable as a shared dish. Holy Communion will be served as a part off the meal, as Jesus instituted it at the Last Supper. A free will offering will be taken. Service starts at 6:30PM.
