Fall Life-a-thon is over, but we sure made some great memories! Life-a-thon was held this year for three days in the Community Room of the Hudson Valley Mall in Kingston. We had all hands on deck including some board members and guest announcers: Ward Todd, Cory Patterson, and Dianne Davis. The volunteers were capable and faithful and were such a blessing to us! Delicious food was provided by Angela’s Pizza in Lake Katrine. Sometimes we laughed, and sometimes we were brought to tears. It was a time to honor our God Who has given so much and continually reaches out to change lives through the ministry of the Sound of Life. There was an array of heart-tugging testimonies: Living proof of what your support means to others! Most of all it was a time to pull together to do God’s work along with all of you who called or donated on line.
We ended Life-a-thon with 93 new Partners for Life… $35,642 in single gifts for a total of $69,122! Our goal was 100 Partners for Life at $30 per month and $97,000 in single gifts. In the next few days following Life-a-thon we did reach 100 new PFL’s, praise God! We’re still short of our single gift goal, but we know that God is faithful to meet these needs and we’re trusting Him to provide the funds needed.
An hour of broadcasting costs about $97. A song usually lasts about 3 minutes. In those three minutes a life can change! So, even a small gift can change a life. God moves continually, not just during the three days of Life-a-thon and if you feel a call upon your heart you can donate at any time. There are no small gifts or blessings and together we can spread the news that there is a God who cares and loves us all!
Thanks so much for the part you played in Fall Life-a-thon 2013… and all glory to God!
