September has been a busy month for the Sound of Life!
Steak Out IV in South Glens Falls on 9.7.13 – It was a great time of fellowship and good food at Steak Out IV! The dinner raised money for the Sound of Life’s Prospect Tower transmitter upgrade which is part of the Impact Project. A BIG “thank you” goes out to all who planned for it and those who attended to make this a successful event!
Casting Crowns Concert – 9.12.13 -Over 2000 people attended the Casting Crowns concert at the Civic Center in Glens Falls. The Sound of Life was the Master of Ceremonies and the Soul Patrol was out front. We met so many great people there and it was an outstanding night of music and worship. We were so blessed to be a part of it!
Fans & ticket winners @ the concert!
Balloon Breakfast – 9.21.13 – The Sound of Life was honored to be part of the annual Adirondack Balloon Festival fundraising breakfast for the Open Door Mission in Glens Falls. Tom, Joe, Shane & Cindy were there and had a great time sharing the Sound of Life’s music and meeting “ballooners”. Unfortunately, it was too windy for the balloons to launch, but it was still a great morning! The Open Door Mission served 2014 breakfasts just on Saturday! That’s a lot of eggs!
Glory Day @ Great Escape – 9.21.13 – Two events in one day! Wow… but it was a beautiful day and an awesome time! We got to meet our ticket winners and our staff and volunteers got to enjoy the park for the day as well. Christian bands played throughout the day in two different stage areas. One of our ticket winning families are pictured below. We’re already beginning the planning for next year’s event which promises to be even more amazing!
And that brings us up to yesterday’s event… the Social Media Seminar. We’ll do a special blog post about that great event in a couple of days and we’ll have lots of great photos for you! Don’t miss it!
