Mission

The Sound of Life exists to lead people to Christ and nurture believers in their spiritual growth through Christ-centered media.

It all started in the early 1980s when a dedicated group of people had a vision for a listener-supported Christian radio station in the Hudson Valley. The radio station’s mission was to support and encourage people to know God, and to reach out to those who wanted to know him. Now as we near four decades later, The Sound of Life has grown to cover much of eastern New York and parts of five other states, as well as our internet and digital media presence.  God allows us to be a voice of encouragement and hope for the Hudson Valley and beyond, thanks to dedication of that original group of people and all those who have contributed over the years and continue to.

OUR MISSION:
The Sound of Life is a listener-supported radio network that encourages people and shares the life-changing message of the hope and love found in Jesus Christ.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

1. We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative word of God.
2. We believe that there is only one God, externally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the deity of Christ, in his virgin birth, in his sinless life, in His miracles, in his vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood. In His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
4. We believe that for the salvation of the lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, they that are saved into the resurrection of life and they that are lost into the resurrection of damnation.
7. We believe in the spiritual unity of the believers in Christ.
